5:00 PM at The Weinberg Y in Waverly (900 East 33rd St, Baltimore, MD 21218). Admission is completely free, welcoming children, families, and community members from across Greater Baltimore. A virtual session is scheduled on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

​Presented by Craigslist Charitable Fund and hosted in partnership with The Y in Central Maryland, Children’s Veg Fest is a premier family-centered gathering created to inspire youth through accessible nutrition education, joyful movement, and compassionate living.

​Designed to make healthy living engaging and approachable, the festival features a full schedule of interactive activities for all ages:

​+ Live Cooking Demonstrations & Food Samples: Inspiring youth and parents with quick, affordable, and delicious plant-based recipes.

​+ Music & Interactive Movement: Family-friendly entertainment and mindfulness sessions to encourage active lifestyles.

​ + Youth Entrepreneurship: Dedicated opportunities allowing youth vendors to vend for free, empowering young leaders and makers to showcase their businesses.
